Having worked within well-known vendor and network provider organizations for over 25 years, David is now CityFibre’s Group Chief Technology Officer.

In his role he is responsible for the selection and evolution of all powered network technology assets; a vital part of enabling CityFibre’s world-class infrastructure platform deployment ambition.

David joined CityFibre from Ciena where, as CTO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa he was responsible for leveraging Ciena's technology and operational leadership to enable partner success and drive Ciena’s regional business reputation and growth.

One of David’s earlier positions was at Level 3 Communications as European Director of Engineering where he delivered IP, Transport and CDN networks, with a focus on driving cost efficiency and maximizing commercial opportunities. From there he became CTO at euNetworks, where he took responsibility for technology selection, platform lifecycle and network integration.
